I have created a yellow lightning bolt to connote the electricity of the brand. I have outlined it in white to make it contrast to the busy backgrounds that I want to include in my webpage design.
I have used a bold photo of Annie Mac performing at Reading Festival. It is bright and stands out. I have featured the title and motto 'Welcome to the prime of music.' Using a bold black font, the title is bold. The head bar has direct links to other pages on the webpage as well as the radio schedule and logo. I have added two links to the BBC radio 1 website to act as 'listen now' links. One is disguised as a speaker logo and the other is a simple, 'play now' button.
ELEKTRA'S PAGE:
I have featured a page dedicated towards Elektra and what she is up to this week, as well as her friends. This is an interesting page for fans and audience of Elektra who would want a closer insight into what she's doing.
LISTEN PAGE:
I wanted to create a really bright, intense page that threw lots of information into one section. The listen page shows you where you can listen to the music magazine as well as when. It also features direct links to download the bbc radio app. I created some playlists on Spotify specifically for the show which i have linked here and displayed lots of web address for various, related pages. This page features social media links for audiences to explore and follow the social medias of BBC radio 1 and Electric Noise.
FEATURES PAGE:
This was my favourite page to create as I could do some writing as well as filming. This page includes different articles, like a blog, of stories that my audience would be interested in. The first of my articles is Elrow Festival in Pictures where I made a collage of some festival pictures, some including Elektra and her friends. I also wrote an article called Waste and Garbage at Festivals which allowed me to explore the problems of plastic at big events. I included my interview with Dollondon in this section. Another article I wrote was about Olympian Sam Bennett who I interviewed discussing his athletic and music journey. He made a playlist for the Electric Noise Spotify account. I was able to shoot, film and edit an interview with Michael Harvey who is the founder of Rize Festival and we discussed eco-friendly aspects to festivals. And finally, I embedded a playlist 'made' by Calvin Harris.
CONTACT:
I also added a contacts area to the bottom of my webpage to give the audience social media links, a message box and the addresses and contact details of Electric Noise. This allows for the audience to easily get in contact with the radio.
